Match Preview: Stoke City U21 (H)

Tuesday 28/07/2015

Hednesford Town’s last home pre-season fixture sees them taking on Stoke City U21s at Keys Park this evening.

The Pitmen will be looking to end their home campaign with a victory against a Stoke side that is set to feature some stars of the future.

With Rob Smith still away on holiday, Larry Chambers will continue to take charge of first team affairs and he is hoping to have a number of players back in contention after they missed out in recent matches.

“John Disney has been suffering with a hamstring and back injury, we are hoping that he may return in the coming days – but it could well be a little longer” Chambers said.

“Jon Adams and Curtis Tilt have also been out due to ankle injuries while Tom France picked up a knock ahead of last weekend. We hope to have them available again soon.”

The Pitmen’s numbers are set to be boosted with the arrival of Adam Thomas, with the lively winger set to make a return to Keys Park after he was released by the Potters at the end of last season.

Admission prices for the game which kicks off at 7.30pm are: Adults £6 and Concessions £4.
