Match Preview: Harrogate Town (A)

Friday 14/08/2015

The Pitmen return to action on Saturday afternoon when they make the trip north to take on Harrogate Town.

Having come away with nothing to show for their efforts in the first away game of the season on Tuesday evening, Rob Smith’s men will be looking to repeat last season’s showing at Harrogate in order to get back to winning ways.

You will remember that we were able to complete the double over the Yorkshire club during the 2014/15 campaign with our last trip to Harrogate being the first away game of 2015 and a 2-0 victory to boot.

The manager heads into the game with injury doubts over strikers Kyle Perry and Marvin Robinson, with the latter having picked up a knock in the mid-week defeat at AFC Fylde.

John Disney and Adam Thomas remain longer-term injury victims but Smith is able to welcome Jon Adams back into the squad after missing the final weeks of pre-season.

The hosts have started their season with a 1-0 defeat, on the opening day against Brackley Town, and a 3-1 victory over Gainsborough Trinity on Tuesday night.

The Pitmen will be wearing their red and yellow away strip.
