Match Preview: Boston United (H)

Saturday 05/09/2015

The Pitmen return to action at Keys Park this afternoon as we take on a Boston United side with whom we have enjoyed many good games over the years.

During the eight matches that we have faced the Pilgrims, the current record stands at four victories for each side, with Boston having won the most recent encounter 2-1 back in March in front of a crowd of 636.

The visitors today went on to make the end of season play-offs, before losing out in the semi-finals to Chorley on penalties. So far this season they have picked up nine points from their five games and sit in eighth place.

Chris Brindley is set to take charge of his final game as caretaker manager and will be looking to build on Monday’s excellent 4-1 victory over Worcester City.

Although we suffered disappointment this week with the loss of Curtis Tilt to AFC Telford United, John Disney is set to return to the line-up where he will make his 100th start in a Hednesford shirt.

The game kicks off at the usual time of 3.00pm and we hopefully look forward to welcoming a few extra faces into Keys Park with there being no Premier League or Championship matches taking place today.

Any supporters wishing to stay after the final whistle and watch the England game, which kicks off at 5.30pm, can do so with the match being shown live in Strikers Bar.
