A new era begins on Saturday as Bernard McNally gets set to take charge of his first Hednesford Town game just eight days short of five years since the last time he was in the dugout.
After the dramatic stoppage-time winner against Boston United last weekend, the Pitmen will be looking to build on the good work which Chris Brindley has undertaken in the last two weeks, when they take on Alfreton Town.
Hednesford manager McNally is under no illusions though, as he prepares to make a return to the dugout.
“It is going to be very hard, I know that, and it’s a big welcome back as you are playing against some big players so the physical side is a must for us.
“Hopefully we can push further forward as the players have done really well under Chris. I have also added former Hednesford striker Kyle Patterson to my back room staff, with him taking up a coaching role at the club. ”
McNally is set to be able to call upon all three of his new signings Lloyd Ransome, Matt Regan and James McQuilkin for the game which kicks off at the usual time of 3.00pm on Saturday. The Pitmen will be wearing their White and Black home kit.
