Midfielder Takes Home Trio of Awards

Monday 25/04/2016

It would turn out to be a memorable post-match occasion for Adam Thomas on Saturday afternoon after the midfielder took home three end of season playing awards.

Thomas, who has played over 30 times this season despite suffering a shoulder injury on the opening day, was named as the “Hednesford Town FC Supporters Association Player of the Season”, “Management Player of the Season” and also “Sportsman of the Year” after collecting just one yellow card all campaign.

It was captain Ben Bailey who would be named as the “Supporters Player of the Season” though, narrowly beating Thomas and Dan Crane who were named as joint runners-up.

The last playing award saw midfielder Sean Williams being named as the “Players’ Player of the Season”.

Off the field Dave and Val Bates were jointly awarded the “Clubman of the Year” award for their fabulous efforts with the playing surface throughout the campaign while Paul Woodhead was named as the “HTFCSA Supporter of the Season” for his hard work off the field in promoting the club through both Pitman Pete and other avenues.
