Casey Agrees Pitmen Contract

Wednesday 23/11/2016

Hednesford Town have today moved to secure the signature of manager Paul Casey on a contract.

After a busy first week in-charge of the Pitmen the club have handed Casey an 18-month contract in order to help lay the foundations for what will hopefully be a bright future.

Following the news of this deal, the manager said:

“I’m very proud to have signed a contract with the football club as this gives us the stability needed in order to attract the better players.

“The successful local teams at our level and above all have managers on contracts or they have been at the club for over three seasons, providing a stable environment in which to bring in new players.

“This investment helps you to build a team which you can hopefully have with you for a number of years.

“I know there are top class players out there who will want to join us if approached or maybe fancy coming to our club in the near future. I have a squad of players here though that just needs a little bit of tinkering in order to fulfil the potential that it has.”

The manager also confirmed that he doesn’t have any involvement with social media after a ‘spoof’ twitter account appeared online on Wednesday afternoon portraying to be Casey.

The Pitmen host Coalville Town FC at Keys Park on Saturday, with the game kicking off at 3.00pm.
