Keys Park Squad Update

Saturday 24/12/2016

Ahead of a busy time of fixtures for Hednesford Town Football Club, we wanted to provide an update for supporters on the current position of the Pitmen squad.

Lloyd Ransome is still struggling with a damaged shoulder, which he picked up in training recently. The goalkeeper is continuing his rehab with physio and we hope to see him back in action soon.

Defender Lewis Wright has missed the last month of first team action due to an injured knee. The full-back is due to have a scan on the injury next week with it possible that he may require keyhole surgery in order to repair the damage.

Fellow defender Jim Mutton has requested to take a break from football due to travelling to and from Keys Park becoming a problem. The Pitmen will still retain his registration though as Mutton signed a contract with the club in the summer.

Winger Montel Gibson has been sent back to Notts County due to a poor attitude. This comes after Gibson missed a training session and also failed to turn-up for game against Burton Albion on Tuesday evening.

Meanwhile Cohen Bramall’s two-day trial with Arsenal went well, with the defender having earned good reviews from the Gunners.

Finally, everyone at Keys Park would like to wish all supporters a very Merry Christmas and we look forward to seeing you at Stafford Rangers on Boxing Day.
