Match Preview: Warrington Town (H)

Friday 09/12/2016

Hednesford Town return to league action at Keys Park on Saturday when Warrington Town visit for the first ever time in a competitive fixture.

After gaining promotion last season The Yellows have continued their good form into the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League campaign with them currently sitting in sixth place, just a point behind us, as they look to try and achieve back-to-back promotions.

Among the ranks of the visitors tomorrow will be midfielder Sean Williams who played for the Pitmen last season before departing in the summer.

Manager Paul Casey was hoping that his side could build on their last two results as they look to claim another three points against a side that are also pushing hard for the top five.

He said: “I’m expecting a tough game on Saturday afternoon, and similar to the one which we experienced against Workington.

“I’m hoping for a professional performance from the team so that we can pick up where we left off last weekend.

“We also know we now have a much stronger squad than what we did four weeks ago with there being 17/18 lads all able to go out there and command a first team spot.”

The manager is set to be without Danny Glover (hamstring), Lewis Wright (knee), Lloyd Ransome (shoulder) and Jim Mutton (foot) all through injury.

The game kicks off at the usual time of 3pm and Strikers Bar will be open both before and after the match, with all supporters being welcome.
