Match Preview: Halesowen Town (H)

Monday 20/03/2017

Following torrential rain there will be a 3.15pm pitch inspection to see if the game can go ahead as planned.

The Pitmen return home this evening as they look to get back to winning ways at Keys Park in the league when Halesowen Town visit.

This game should have originally taken place right at the start of January but due to the inclement weather that was around at that time it led to the original fixture being postponed.

Our visitors this evening have been on a run of late that has left them a little too close for comfort to the bottom four. However, a victory on Saturday at Frickley Athletic has helped their cause and with a number of former Pitmen players in their ranks they will be coming here this evening looking to get one over their old team.

The management team will be looking for the spirit shown to come back from 2-1 down in stoppage time against Coalville Town at the weekend as they look to pick up all three points this evening.

Goalkeeper Dan Crane will face a late fitness test to see if he will be available after requiring stitches in his knee following a clash during the first half of the game on Saturday while Stuart McNaught (ankle) will also be assessed. Jordan Fitzpatrick (hamstring) and Danny Glover (illness) are also unlikely to be available for selection for this evening’s fixture.

The game on Saturday kicks off at 7.45pm and Strikers Bar will be open to all supporters both before and after the match.
