New Manager Appointed at Keys Park

Monday 08/05/2017

Hednesford Town Football Club are pleased to announce the appointment of Neil Tooth as their new first team manager.

Following the departure of Gary Birch on Friday evening, Tooth undertook an interview at Keys Park before being handed the role today.

Tooth, who has experience at this level as manager of Sutton Coldfield Town, will be assisted by Phil Male, Andy Ling (first team coach) and former Pitmen favourite Kris Taylor who will take up a player-coach role.

Speaking on his appointment Tooth said:

“I’m delighted to be appointed as manager of Hednesford Town Football Club. It is a fantastic club and this is a job that I am really looking forward to getting stuck into.

“I know that we are perhaps a week or so behind other clubs but in the coming days I shall be speaking to Hednesford players from last season and also to other players about potentially signing as we look to build a squad.

“Having got Sutton promoted into this league, and then finishing twelfth in the first season, I know what it is all about and I can’t wait to get going with Hednesford.”

The manager will now begin work on shaping his squad ahead of the 2017/18 Evo-Stik Northern Premier League campaign.

We would all like to wish the new management team well with their appointments.
