Ben Bailey returns to Keys Park

Monday 24/07/2017

Hednesford Town Football Club are delighted to announce that defender Ben Bailey has today returned to Keys Park.

The popular centre-half previously spent ten years with the club, playing a total of 335 times for the Pitmen after breaking into the first team squad during the 2007/08 campaign.

Just over 12 months ago Bailey made the hard decision to leave Hednesford in order to stay in the National League North with AFC Telford United. However, following his departure from the Bucks today, manager Neil Tooth moved quickly to get the defender back on-board.

First Team Coach Kris Taylor, said:

“We’re absolutely delighted to be able to bring Ben Bailey back to the football club.

“He is very much a clubman and a Hednesford Town stalwart with all years and games that he played here during his first spell.

“Obviously ‘Bails’ is also someone that we know and he is very much a fans’ favourite, so as soon as we heard that he may be available we moved as quickly as possible.

“Thanks also to AFC Telford United for their part in helping to make this move happen so smoothly.”

Bailey will be available for tomorrow night’s game against Tamworth at Keys Park, which kicks-off at 7.45pm.
