Tonight's Birmingham Senior Cup fixture at HOME against Romulus has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

Match Preview: Bamber Bridge (A)

Friday 25/01/2019

Hednesford Town return to league action tomorrow afternoon with their first ever trip to Bamber Bridge on the horizon.

Brig were promoted to this level last season and currently sit three places above us in the table in 13th place. The gap is only two points though, albeit with ourselves having played two games more, as we look to record our first ever victory over our hosts on Saturday.

The first game between the two sides this season saw the Pitmen score nine minutes from time to earn a share of the spoils back in November. Much has changes since then of course and after last weekend’s first league victory of 2019 manager Nick Eaden is looking to follow that up with a second tomorrow.

He said:

“It will be another tough and different test for us, we know that, but we shall be looking to go up to Bamber Bridge and win.

“It is important for us that we follow up last weekend’s excellent victory with another good performance tomorrow as we look to continue our move up the league table.”

Nathan Fox and Charlie Gatter will have fitness tests to see if they can be involved while Alex Melbourne and Shane Benjamin are both available after having to sit out the midweek fixture against Aston Villa due to being cup-tied.

The game kicks-off at the usual Saturday time of 3pm and we’d like to thank those supporters who are making the journey up the M6 to Lancashire.
