Match Preview: Rushall Olympic (A)

Monday 14/01/2019

Hednesford Town take their eyes off their league campaign for a short period this evening as we prepare to take on Rushall Olympic in the quarter-final of the Staffordshire Senior Cup.

Last season saw the Pitmen record their first victory at Dales Lane in 23 years, something they will be looking to replicate tonight as we look to progress in a competition that we reached the final of last time around.

Our opponents this evening go into the fixture on the back of a good 3-1 victory at the weekend, seeing them move back into the relative comfort of mid-table after a mixed season so far in the Evo-Stik Southern League Premier Central Division.

For ourselves, manager Nicky Eaden will be waiting to see if Nathan Fox can be involved after missing the last two matches through injury, although he did partake in some training on Saturday, while midfielder Josh Craddock will have a fitness test to see if he can be involved.

We can also confirm that defender Kieran Dawes and midfielder Joel Logan have returned to their parent clubs, Birmingham City and FC United of Manchester, after their one-month loan deals came to an end.

The game kicks-off at the usual midweek time of 7.45pm and we’d like to thank those supporters who are making the short journey to Dales Lane.
