Coleshill Town FC v Hednesford Town (A)

Monday 30/09/2019

Tonight the Pitmen turn their attention to Monday night League Cup action as we travel to Coleshill Town. A much changed line-up can be expected to the side that drew 1-1 with AFC Rushden & Diamonds on Saturday.

Gary Hayward confirmed; “The League Cup is a chance for some of the players in the squad who have not featured so much to get some game time. I will be resting some of Saturday’s team but they will be at Coleshill supporting the other lads. It will give a chance to some of the younger players like Carter Lycett and Ollie Waddison as well.”

On the injury front Ben O’Hanlon will be unavailable for another month. Jack Hallahan is fit again and likely to feature against Coleshill, while Sam Griffiths (ankle) and Reece King (dead leg) picked up knocks against AFC Rushden & Diamonds.

On Saturday’s draw at Keys Park, Gary added; “Our movement was good and we kept at it, but we missed too many chances and some of our decision making was questionable. On another day we could have scored three or four. Fair play to Rushden, they scored a free kick with a great strike early on and then tried to frustrate us.”

Coleshill Town are place 18th in Division One Central following Saturday’s 3-0 home defeat at the hands of league leaders Berkhamsted.

Kick off is at 7.45pm

Admission; Adults £9, Concessions £7, Under 11s free.
