Hednesford Town v Banbury United (H)

Monday 16/09/2019

It’s third against fourth on Tuesday night at the PRG Stadium, Keys Park as Hednesford Town face Banbury United in the BetVictor Southern Premier Central. Both sides have 15 points after making strong starts to the season, the Pitmen sit one place above the Puritans having a superior goal difference after playing one game less than the visitors.

Banbury have won their last two away games in the league at Bromsgrove Sporting and Peterborough Sports before Saturday’s goalless draw at home to Hitchin Town.

Gary Hayward was pleased with the win at Kings Langley on Saturday but refused to get carried away; “We are up to third and going well but you don’t win anything in September, we need to keep going and push the teams above and around us starting tonight against Banbury United. It will be a tough game this evening; we are good to go but will have to be at our best.”

Both Ben O’Hanlon and Jack Hallahan are unavailable through injury, the rest of the squad came through the weekend’s game unscathed.

Kick-off is at the usual midweek time of 7.45pm.
