Hednesford Town v Chester FC (H)

Friday 13/12/2019

Hednesford Town’s FA Trophy campaign continues on Saturday at Keys Park with the visit of Chester FC. After victories against Stratford, Sutton Coldfield and Coalville, the Pitmen have the chance to test themselves against a side flying high in the National League North. Ahead of the game joint-caretaker manager Danny Glover said; “It is afternoons like this that can hopefully inspire us to raise our game and bring the best out of the lads. We are going well in the league, despite the postponement of Tuesday’s game against Nuneaton, but the Trophy is another competition that can bring rewards and excitement to the club.”

In squad news, Kris Scott has left Keys Park to join Buxton while Andre Brown has been recalled by AFC Telford. We would like to thank both players for their contribution and wish them well for the future.

Jack Chambers has had his loan from West Bromwich Albion extended by a further month and will be part of the squad on Saturday. Jack Hallahan is suspended, James Hurst is likely to miss out through injury while Elliot Hodge and Izak Reid are recovering from illness and will have their fitness assessed prior to kick-off.

The game will be segregated with Pitmen supporters using turnstiles 3A and 3B and visiting supporters entering the ground via turnstiles 2A and 2B.

Kick-off is at 3pm.
