Hednesford Town are today excited to announce that we have signed exciting goalkeeper Andy Wycherley on a 1 year contract with an additional 1 year option ahead of the 2020/21 season.
Andy is well known to the Pitmen supporters as he enjoyed two very impressive loan spells at the club last season and new manager Andy Morrell wasted no time in getting the 21 year old signed on a permanent deal once his departure from Solihull Moors was announced.
Andy began his senior footballing career with welsh side TNS, the Welsh Premier League’s most successful ever side before moving to his hometown club AFC Telford United. Andy initially joined Hednesford Town from the Bucks during the winter of 2019 however his loan was cut short as Telford recalled him in order for him to sign for National league side Solihull Moors, fortunately a deal was agreed with Moors for Andy to return on loan to the PRG stadium for the remainder of the season where he continued to impress.
Andy heads into the new season as the Pitmen No. 1 and we look forward to plenty of clean sheets at the PRG Stadium.
