Preview; Corby Town v Hednesford Town

Friday 30/10/2020

Following on from Tuesday’s 5-1 thrashing of Bromsgrove Sporting, the Pitmen look to build momentum on Saturday, as they travel to Northamptonshire to commence their Buildbase FA Trophy campaign at Southern League Division One Central outfit Corby Town. The Steelmen have already played two games in the FA Trophy seeing off Soham Town Rangers (3-0) and Halesowen Town (1-0). Their league form has also been impressive as they sit on top of their division with 15 points from seven games.

Ahead of the clash, interim Pitmen manager Keenen Meakin-Richards commented; “We will take the recent performances from Royston and against Bromsgrove into this game as well, that is the standard we want.  I have spoken to several other managers about Corby Town, they are a big, strong and physical side, but we will go there, stick to our values and always play with our identity home or away.”
