Exit from Lockdown

Wednesday 02/12/2020

Following an Emergency Meeting of Southern League Clubs last night, a vote is to be taken by all clubs on the various options that have been put forward by the League Management Committee to deal with the restrictions on NLS clubs, brought about by the Government’s Tier system.
Further discussions will be had between the FA NLS and the DCMS to try to facilitate the return of supporters to forthcoming fixtures but, as we currently stand, the plan for Hednesford Town FC to exit lockdown is as follows:
1. The players and team management will return to training tomorrow evening.
2. On Saturday 5th December we will be playing a friendly against Romulus FC, at present this friendly will be played behind closed doors, with no spectators allowed, although this situation may change over the next 48 hours dependent on the outcome of discussions with the DCMS.
3. On Tuesday 8th December we will be playing our FA Trophy First Round game against Welwyn Garden City FC. Unfortunately, under the current Covid regulations, no Pitmen supporters will be allowed to travel to the game due to our Tier 3 status locally.
We will keep everyone updated as more guidance becomes available.
