FA Cup Preview; Hednesford Town v Cleethorpes Town

The Emirates FA Cup returns to the PRG Stadium at Keys Park with the visit of Cleethorpes Town in the First Round Qualifying. The visitor’s will be hoping to build on their strong start to the season that sees them sitting in eighth place in the Northern Premier League East with seven points from five games, following their most recent outing, a 2-1 victory at Bridlington Town.

The Pitmen will be be looking to get back to winning ways and maintaining their unbeaten start to the season, after two successive 1-1 draws over the Bank Holiday weekend. Keenen Meakin-Richards commented; “Cleethorpes Town are a good outfit and will want to enjoy a run in the cup as much as we do, so we will not be underestimating them at all.  They are a strong, direct team and we will need to adapt our game and do the right things at the right time”.

In squad news, Courtney Richards returns, Reece Styche remains on international duty with Gibraltar while Jed Davies, Callam Mendez-Jones, George Cater and Reece Flanagan miss out through injury.

Saturday 4th September, kick off 3pm.

All tickets will be available as pay on the gate only, as the gates open at 1pm.
Gates Open at 1pm for a 3pm kick off.  The Main Bar will be open also after the game until late.
