A quick turnaround from Saturday sees fourth placed Hednesford Town back in Pitching-In Central Premier League action at Keys Park against Nuneaton Borough. A late, late equaliser at the weekend gave the Pitmen a share of the points against Barwell to preserve their status as one of only two unbeaten teams in the division. Although pleased with the team’s persistence and Chay Tilt’s wonder strike, manager Keenen Meakin-Richards will be looking for greater self-belief from his players to take their chances and turn the number of recent draws into wins. The squad remains unchanged from the weekend with Jed Davies, George Cater and Ryan Pryce unavailable through injury.
Nuneaton have had a poor start to their league campaign with a solitary home win against Leiston amongst a draw and four defeats. They are currently in 17th spot in the early league table, a position that belies the calibre of players at the club.
