St Ives Town v Hednesford Town

Friday 22/10/2021

The Pitmen travel to Cambridgeshire to face St Ives Town in the Pitching-In Premier Central on Saturday 23rd October. The Pitmen, without a midweek game, slipped out of the play-off positions, dropping to sixth in the league after twelve games.  The Ives recorded their first win in all competitions since August with a 1-0 victory against Hitchin Town on Tuesday. They currently sit fourth from bottom of the league, one place above the relegation zone, having played one more game than Hednesford.

Keenen Meakin-Richards has been busy strengthening the squad this week, with defender Josh Endall joining from Stafford Rangers, midfielder Aram Soleman arriving from National League North Guiseley and the signing from Coventry United of the highly rated striker Riley O’Sullivan. All three new players will be part of the squad this weekend, Callam Mendez-Jones will be absent due to a groin injury, Josh Webb misses out through injury while long term absentees Jed Davies (New Year) and George Cater (four weeks) continue their recoveries. Ryan Pryce is back in training but not yet ready for selection.

Kick off is at the usual Saturday time of 3pm.
