Goalkeeper Joins Pitmen From Birmingham City

Friday 26/11/2021

It can be confirmed today, that Birmingham City Goalkeeper Oliver Basey has joined Hednesford Town on loan.

Oliver started football with Sunderland Youth setup, and then transferred over to Birmingham City U23s.

On Wearside, Basey, who stands at an imposing 6ft 4ins tall, was a regular for the Black Cats in the Under-18s Premier League, before he went pro for Birmingham City.

Oliver stated “I’m excited to get going for the Pitmen.  I have so much to offer, and I hope to make the fans proud.  I’m here to win games and truly showcase everything I’m capable of.”

KMR stated, “Oliver is a tall and imposing Keeper and athletic Shot Stopper.  He has played at levels already which only the best is good enough, or you get cut adrift.  Oliver has showed his continued improvement and his worth to big clubs, which secured his pro contract.  He has also shown to us, he will assist us in pushing forwards and adding more strength and depth to our rear guard action.  Were excited to have him on board.”

I’m sure you will all join us in welcoming Oliver to the club.
