Hednesford Town v AFC Rushden & Diamonds

Friday 05/11/2021

AFC Rushden & Diamonds are Saturday’s opponents at the PRG Stadium at Keys Park in the Pitching-In Southern Premier League Central. The visitors are in 11th place with seven points less than the sixth placed Pitmen having played one more game. Last time out in the league the Diamonds recorded their only win during October with a 2-1 victory at Stratford Town.

Ahead of the game Hednesford Town manager Keenen Meakin-Richards commented; “There are no easy games in our league, with teams getting unexpected results on a regular basis. Rushden & Diamonds are not far behind us in the table and have had some results that have caught the eye, so we are going to have to be at our best.”

KMR will be selecting his team from the same squad of players available to him last week for the FA Trophy defeat at the hands of Peterborough Sports, with the exception of Chay Tilt who misses out due to illness. Josh Webb, Jed Davies, Callam Mendez-Jones and Sam Griffiths continue in their recovery from injury, while Ryan Pryce and George Cater edge ever closer to a return to action.
