Hednesford Town v Coalville Town

Monday 15/11/2021

Pitching-In Premier League Central action returns to the PRG Stadium at Keys Park on Tuesday night as the Pitmen take on league leaders Coalville Town. The Ravens are flying in the league with only one defeat so far, back in August, at the hands of AFC Rushden & Diamonds. Tim Berridge and Billy Kee have plundered 19 goals between them so far this season, placing them first and third respectively in the league’s goal scoring table.

Hednesford Town took advantage of the league fixture free weekend by playing Walsall Wood in a friendly at Keys Park. A goal apiece from Andre Brown and Shaq Master in the second half saw the Pitmen record a 2-0 win. Ryan Pryce and Ben Bailey both featured on Saturday, George Cater was involved in the warm-up, while young goalkeepers Bradley Clarkson and Rhys Williams both got a full ninety minutes of game time, with Rhys “loaned” to the visitors for the afternoon.

Ahead of the game Pitmen manager Keenen Meakin-Richards commented; “Coalville are having a season to remember and are top of the league going into this match. It will be a tough game but one that we will go into with a positive mindset, and make sure we give the supporters a performance to be proud of. Taking on the league leaders, underneath the floodlights at Keys Park, who needs any more motivation than that?”

Tuesday 16th November, kick off at 7.45pm, Gates open at 6pm @ PRG Stadium at Keys Park Road, Hednesford, Cannock, WS12 2DZ.
