Hednesford Town travel to Nuneaton Borough in the Pitching-In Southern Premier League Central. Manager Keenen Meakin-Richards has made three new additions to the squad since Tuesday’s penalty shoot-out victory over Romulus FC in the Birmingham Senior Cup. Goalkeeper Oliver Basey has joined the club on loan from Birmingham City while young midfielder Sam Mellor has been drafted into the first team squad after impressive performances with the Academy. Also coming in on loan is Dutch defender Patrick Fini, joining the club from Hereford. Ben Bailey, Ryan Pryce and George Cater all returned to first team action earlier this week. Josh Endall and Chay Tilt both miss out due to their red cards during the 2-0 defeat at Royston Town last Saturday.
Nuneaton have improved in the league of late, following a dismal spell during September and October when they lost 11 out of 14 games in all competitions. A recent 6-2 win league win over Stourbridge was followed by a 2-1 loss at home to Needham Market last time out. The Boro are currently one place above the drop zone, eight points behind the tenth placed Pitmen, having played an additional game.
Kick off 3pm
