A Message from the Chairmen…..
We understand the frustration and disbelief of our situation we find ourselves in with regards our league position, but we write this message to reassure everyone, that everyone within the club is doing everything we can to turn our current situation and futures around. We shall allow our management to discuss their plans for tactics, players etc all in due course, however, we write to firstly thank everyone for your support to date, and to also remind everyone of some of the words which we spoke upon arrival at the club. WE NEED EVERYONE TOGETHER. We know the results haven’t reflected where we all expected or wished for, and we all appreciate when a team is not winning regular it’s a big ask for fans in the current economic climate, when it’s cold or wet, or even when considering the huge Christmas list which you need to shop for. But Win, Lose or Draw, we must remain resolute and strong together, as the team truly do feed from your emotions and support. Nothing has changed in this respect from the day we arrived, in fact it is needed now more than ever.
We all know how important each game becomes, to gain the valuable points we need for climbing out of the relegation fight that we find ourselves in, & this game is more important than ever that we pick up 3 points to kick start the run we all know we need to embark upon. So, with the early kick off set for 12.30, and gates opening at 11.30am, let’s get together and show the team what being a Pitman is all about, what it means to each and everyone of us. Let’s show our support and let’s watch each and every player show us, in return, exactly how much it means to them, and why they are still here fighting for pulling on that shirt every week, and why they are proud to represent the Pitmen.
With this Sunday also seeing our Vets in action on Sunday morning against top of their league, trying to pick up points for their games in hand, and our ladies playing at Rushall Olympic for a 2pm kick off in their next match, it’s a weekend of football for the Pitmen (& Ladies). So, we look forward to seeing you all this weekend.
Graham & Hayden.
