Hednesford Town v Coalville Town

Hednesford begin a run of four home games out of the next five when title chasing Coalville Town visit the RACE Stadium on Saturday.

Coalville sit in fourth place in the Southern Central Premier League table with 47 points from 26 games, 16 points behind leaders Tamworth but with seven games in hand. Their away record is very impressive, having lost just once, 2-1 at Bedford, drawing two and winning seven including a 7-0 victory at Rushden & Diamonds and a 4-1 win at Tamworth. Their leading scorer is Ashley Chambers who signed for the club from Buxton. The well-travelled striker has 12 league goals to his name so far this season.

The Pitmen and The Ravens have already met twice this season at Coalville’s Owen Street ground, in the league on Saturday September 24th when Coalville won 3-2 despite Hednesford taking a two goal half time lead through a Leroy Lita brace and on Saturday November 19th in the FA Trophy when the home side won 2-0.

After this game Hednesford can look forward to the visit of Mickleover on Tuesday February 14th followed by a trip to fellow strugglers AFC Rushden & Diamonds on Saturday 18th. Home games against Basford on Saturday 25th and Ilkeston on Tuesday 28th complete this month’s fixtures.

On Saturday gates and bars open at 1pm for a 3pm kick off. Admission is £12 Adults, £9 Concessions, £5 U16s (must be accompanied by a supervising adult) with U5’s free. A family ticket for1 adult and 1 child will cost £15.
