Tonight, Hednesford will look to build on their last two games when they meet Ilkeston Town at the RACE Stadium. The Pitmen followed up their 1-0 win at Rushden & Diamonds with a point against Basford on Saturday. At the same time Ilkeston were drawing at home against Rushall Olympic. Leroy Lita had given them the lead with a close-range finish in the last minute of first half injury time before Sam Mantom equalised in the second half. Lita has made a good start to his Ilkeston career after his exit from Hednesford, scoring seven goals in seven games for the Robins to add to the 11 he scored for the Pitmen.
On their travels this season The Robins have picked up 18 points from 14 games, winning four, drawing six and losing four to Leiston (1-2), Nuneaton (0-3), Rushall (0-2) and Barwell (1-2).
As well as Leroy Lita, home fans may recognise Jack Thomas who had a spell on loan with us from Mansfield Town and Mitchell Woakes who was with us for a short time under Andy Morrell.
The game kicks off at the usual midweek time of 7.45pm with gates and bars opening at 6pm. Usual matchday admission prices will apply.
