Hednesford Town are pleased to announce the signing of striker Rivel Mardenborough from Midland league Darlaston Town.

The 22 year old striker started out with Newport County before moving to Solihull Moors, he then moved on to play for Paget Rangers prior to arriving with Darlaston Town where he enjoyed a fruitful campaign last season scoring 18 times in the league to help Darlaston to a 4th placed finish.

On the signing of Mardenborough manager Danny Glover said “ I am buzzing to get this deal agreed to be honest, forwards are always in demand especially ones who have good goal scoring records like Rivel’s. He is big, strong and quick and is an exciting player to watch. We have worked hard to pursuade Rivel his future lies here at Keys Park as he was in demand and as a striker myself I am really looking forward to working with Rivel”.
