Hednesford Town are pleased to announce that goalkeeper Rhys Williams has agreed terms to remain with the Pitmen for the 2023/24.

WillIams, 19, came through the youth academy here at the Pitmen with his first appearance in a pre season friendly aged 17 at Stafford Rangers impressing the travelling Pitmen faithful. Rhys spent a brief time out on loan with Stafford Town in 2022 before returning to cement the number 2 spot in 2023 even playing as an outfield player in the last game of the season at Leiston!

A very talented young goalkeeper who’s confidence and ability defies his young age he is one to watch as the season progresses and will push Dan Crane for the number 1 jersey this season, Rhys is a very popular member of the squad and having come through the academy he is definitely one of our own.

We are delighted Rhys has agreed to stay with the club for the 2023/24 season!
