Pitmen face Rushall in pre season friendly Tuesday 11th of July

Monday 10/07/2023

Hednesford Town welcome our neighbours and National League North newcomers Rushall Olympic to Keys Park tomorrow evening (Tuesday 11th of July)

With plenty of familiar faces in both camps it should be a fantastic game against Liam McDonald’s side,

Pitmen Chairman Hayden Dando said “6 weeks ago the local community made it clear they wanted this football club to continue and the support we received from the funding page was outstanding. On the day I took over the reigns at this club I said I couldn’t do this alone and I needed your support and this is an extension of that statement really. This club is important to its community and tomorrow night is the first opportunity for the community to come out and show just that. We have priced the game so that its affordable in order to hopefully get as many people there as possible, its fantastic that the game is against Rushall, our neighbours who enjoyed a superb season last year and are gearing up for their campaign at Step 2, with Wolves, Albion, Villa and Blues not playing tomorrow and Walsall playing away we hope as many of you as possible will get down to Keys Park and I look forward to seeing you there”.

Hednesford boss Danny glover said “6 weeks ago we didn’t have a club, now we are preparing to play our first pre season friendly at Keys Park since then, it would have been a disaster had we not been able to do so and tomorrow I want the game to be a celebration of the fact we are still here as a club. We are working hard on the training ground and have some really good lads who are proud to wear the badge on their chest and we want you to come down and see them. I know its a friendly but its will certainly be a competitive one as I know Liam well of course and he will want the bragging rights just as much as we do, they had a great result Saturday against Stourbridge so it will be a test for us I am sure and I hope to see as many supporters as possible in Keys Park”.

WE SAID WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT THIS SEASON PITMEN AND THIS IS THE FIRST OPPORTUNITY TO GET BACK TO KEYS PARK AND WATCH YOUR HEDNESFORD TOWN SIDE FOR 2023/24.
