On Tuesday 3rd October Hednesford will put aside their thoughts of Northern Premier League West Division points when they embark on this season’s Staffordshire Senior Cup trail with the visit of Midland league Premier Division side Uttoxeter Town. The step 5 team sit in eighth place in their league with 15 points from 10 games, having won four, lost three and drawn three games scoring 23 goals but conceding 21. Their last game saw a 4-1 defeat at 14th placed Tividale.
Hednesford have won the Staffs Senior Cup on three occasions and have been runners-up twice. The wins came in 1969/70 against Kidderminster Harriers, 1973/74 against Stoke City and 2012/13 against Rushall Olympic while the final defeats were in 1992/93 against Stoke City and 2017/18 against Stafford Rangers.
The game will kick off at the usual midweek time of 7.45pm with the turnstiles and bars opening at 6pm. There will be reduced admission for the game of £5 adults, £4 concessions, £1 under 16s with £1 car parking.
