Avro FC v Hednesford Town

Saturday 4th November sees Harry Harris and his Hednesford team make the club’s first ever visit to Avro FC. This is Avro’s first season at step 4 having been promoted last season, beating Lincoln United in the inter-step play-offs after finishing as runners-up in the North West Counties League Premier Division.

Avro currently sit in 9th place in the Northern Premier League West Division with 17 points from 11 games. At home they’ve won twice (1-0 v Nantwich, 3-2 v Stalybridge), drawn three and lost just once (0-1 v City of Liverpool). Away from home they’ve picked up two wins, two draws and a defeat. Their 12 league goals have been shared around the team with Deane Smalley, Muis Bibire Bello and Liam Ellis all scoring twice.

Trafford’s 2-1 win over Nantwich on Tuesday night saw Hednesford return to the bottom of the league, two points behind Trafford and four adrift of City of Liverpool in 18 th place.

Avro play at The Vestacare Stadium, White bank Road, Oldham, greater Manchester OL8 3JH. The ground opened in 1992, has a capacity of 1,500 and is shared by Oldham Rugby League Club and Avro who moved there in 2017. As part of the move, the ground was redeveloped with a new artificial pitch and floodlights.

Kick off will be the usual Saturday time of 3pm and admission is Adults £10, Concessions £8, U21s £6, U16s £3 and U8s free.
