HTFc takeover update

Friday 15/12/2023

Hednesford Town are pleased to provide an update in relation to the ongoing takeover of the football club.

Craig and Amanda Gwilt have agreed in principle the purchase of both Hednesford Town Football Club and the Keys Park Stadium. Due diligence and the legal process are progressing and the acquisition with need to be ratified by both the FA and NPL, but the parties are currently hopeful of completing the deal in mid to late January.

A statement from current Chairman Hayden Dando said “ I am delighted to share the news that Craig and Amanda Gwilt are the party who have agreed to purchase and takeover the football club, not only are they two very impressive individuals in terms of their outstanding business record but they are also very humble, likeable and passionate people and having seen their plans for this football club I am genuinely excited as to what they will achieve here, they intend to be very hands on at the club which is vital to its success in the future and have already been in attendance at multiple games. We are aiming to complete the deal in mid to late January, however please don’t hold that as an exact date as with any business deal there are multiple moving parts and we cannot possibly provide an update at each stage as that would be impractical. It is vital that we continue to support the club and the attendances continue to be stunning at times so your support during these final few weeks of the takeover process are vital.”

Bearing in mind the speed the parties are hoping to wrap up the deal, it is expected that no further update statements will be made until completion of the takeover and we ask that supporters remain patient during this period.
