Hednesford Town can today confirm that Keenen Meakin-Richards has resigned from his role as manager of Hednesford Town Football Club along with assistant manager Graham Deakin and Head Coach Jemiah Richards.
Meakin-Richards took over as manager 2 years ago following a brief spell as caretaker manager and lead the Pitmen to their best league finish in 5 years last season of 9th.
A brief statement from the board of directors said “ Firstly we want to thank Keenen and the management team for all of their hard work during their time with us, it cannot be forgotten that they did a lot for the club both in terms of stabilising the team along with working tirelessly behind the scenes, unfortunately results haven’t gone our way this season and with a heavy heart we have accepted their resignation, a further statement will be made by the club in due course with regards to the first team managers role at Hednesford Town Football Club”.
