A young midfielder who worked his way through the youth ranks at the club before being promoted to the first team at the end of the 2009-10 season.

Jamey’s relatively young first team career at Keys Park began with a place on the bench against both Oxford City in January 2010 and Leamington in March of the same year. His break in the first team would come in the following pre-season, when he played a part in three of the club’s friendlies impressing particularly against Stafford Rangers in the Chase Cup.

He made his full debut in a 3-0 win at Didcot Town, marking the occasion with a superb goal and a man of the match performance. Injury struck as the new management team of Rob Smith and Larry Chambers arrived at Keys Park and on his return to fitness was sent on loan to Rushall Olympic in order to get some minutes under his belt. However another injury while at Olympic kept him out of the Pitmen’s end to the season and he missed the play-off final against Salisbury.

After agreeing new terms for the 2011-12 season, it was again an impressive pre-season for Jamey as he made his big breakthrough as an important cog in the midfield with goals against Chester and Burscough cementing his place in the first team.

Gaining both form and experience, Jamey found himself with a regular starting-place for 2012-13 following the departure of midfield maestro Chris Clements to Mansfield Town, and stepped up to the mark with a series of fine performances and some scintillating goals

Jamey would appear to have a very bright future in the game
