The games are coming thick and fast asĀ Hednesford Town’s next road trip takes us to Oxfordshire to take on Banbury United in the Pitching In Southern Central League on Tuesday night.
The Puritans have had a similar opening to the season as the Pitmen with an opening day draw at Royston Town, progress in the FA Cup at the expense of Carlton Town before falling to a narrow home defeat to Redditch United on Saturday.
Reflecting on the opening games of the season and looking ahead to Tuesday’s game, Pitmen manager Andy Morrell said;
“The lads have shown a very good attitude and application in the first three competitive games and need to maintain that standard going into next series of games. Starting with Banbury which is another tough away trip, its one I’m looking forward to as I used to play with their manager (Andrew Whing) and we will be looking for our first three points of the season.”
