Quick footed, talented goalscorer who made the move from fellow Evo-Stik Premier League side Marine to Keys Park in May 2012

After starting out at Vauxhall Motors in 2003-04, Aaron had a brief spell in the League of Wales with Bangor City, before ending up at Cammell Laird shortly afterwards. The end of the 2004-05 season saw him join Marine for the first time.

A short spell at Kidsgrove Athletic followed in 2006-2007, before returning to Cammell Laird for a longer spell just before Christmas 2006. Noted for his ability to hold the ball up as well as run at players, his ability and goals saw him come under the microscope of a number of clubs higher up the pyramid
A move upwards never materialised and he returned to Prescot Cables before the start of the 2009-10 season. This would be the first of two spells at Hope Street that season, with a short spell at local rivals Skelmersdale United between.

After starting the 2010-11 season with 8 goals for Cables, he once again attracted the attention of local sides with high-flying Chorley eventually beating a number of sides to sign him in October 2010. However with the number of big names, he struggled to get into the team and only made 8 appearances before linking up with Colwyn Bay. Again, he only made a handful of appearances before rejoining Marine in March 2011.

Having returned to the Arriva Stadium, he immediately linked up with Neil Harvey up front, plundering goals at an impressive rate at the end of the season between them. They continued this in the 2011-2012 season, as Harvey scored seventeen goals and Rey twelve goals as Marine finished one position outside the play-offs.

Rey joined Harvey and defender Sam Barnes in trekking down the M6 to join Hednesford in summer 2012 and played a crucial part in their most successful season in recent memory, contributing 12 goals as the front two pairing was rotated between Rey, Harvey, Michael Lennon and Sean O’Connor
