Highly-rated full back who rejoined the Pitmen in May 2015 from AFC Telford United

Despite being born in Cornwall, Disney represented the Republic of Ireland at Under 17 level soon after making a breakthrough at Stockport County. He made three substitute appearances for the Hatters during the 2009-2010 campaign, before being released in the summer of 2010. He joined Northwich in August 2010 after a successful trial period. After an impressive start to life at the Victoria Stadium, disaster struck in October 2010 as he suffered a serious broken leg. He would not return to action until April 2011, where he suffered the agony of another broken leg just two games into his comeback

After fighting back to fitness at the start of the 2011-2012 season, Disney became a crucial member of the talented Northwich side that defied the odds to finish second in the Evo-Stik Premier League at the end of the season. However, off the field matters saw Vics demoted to the Evo-Stik Division One, leaving Disney with little choice but to move on. He agreed a link up with the Pitmen ahead of their first pre-season game at AFC Wulfrunians, joining up again with good friend and former Stockport colleague Sam Barnes in defence

After starting the season well at right back, Disney lost his place in the team to the excellent Alex Melbourne after a spell out of the side. However, after Melbourne himself lost his place due to injury later on in the season, so Disney took his chance once more, growing into his role as an attacking full back with relish. Disney was a part of the side that finally laid to rest the Pitmen’s play-off hoodoo in May 2013, beating FC United of Manchester in the Evo-Stik Premier League play-off final to earn promotion to Skrill North

The youngster was one of the first players to agree a new deal with the Pitmen in May 2013, extending his stay at Keys Park into a second season. He grew in maturity during the Pitmen’s breakthrough season in Conference North, taking on the penalty responsibilities after Elliott Durrell’s departure in January 2014 and captaining the side towards the end of the season

His form at the higher level had attracted interest from other clubs in the pyramid, with Steve Burr signing the player for Vanarama Conference side Chester in June 2014. However, his Chester experience turned sour very quickly, as Burr quickly dropped Disney from his plans and was sent out on loan to Evo-Stik Premier League side Nantwich Town in November 2014

Upon his return to Chester, he was allowed to join struggling league rivals AFC Telford United on a deal until the end of the season. He was part of the Bucks side that were eventually relegated from the Vanarama Conference in April 2015, making twelve starts at the New Bucks Head. With Telford failing to quickly offer Disney a new deal for the 2015-2016 season, Hednesford stepped in to bring the defender back to Keys Park on a one year deal
