A goalscoring midfielder who rejoined English football with the Pitmen after leaving Welsh Premier side Airbus UK Broughton in August 2013.

Riley’s career began as a trainee at Northwich Victoria where, having come through the ranks, he hit the national headlines in November 2009 when the 19 year old hit the winner against then League 1 high-flyers Charlton Athletic in the FA Cup.
In four seasons at the Victoria Stadium, he notched 38 goals in 120 starts – with important strikes aplenty along the way.

Northwich’s well-publicised off-field woes saw their squad ripped apart in the summer of 2012 as Riley followed a number of his team-mates to the ambitious Welsh Premier side Airbus UK Broughton, to be reunited with former manager Andy Preece. Riley was again amongst the goals for his new club, scoring 12 goals in 32 games as the club finished the 2012-13 season as runners up to local rivals The New Saints.

The player and club came to a mutual agreement at the end of the season to allow Riley to join the Pitmen, after they reportedly put in seven days notice for the player. Despite an offer from Skrill Premier side Wrexham, Riley decided to go back to English football and link up with former Vics team-mates John Disney and Nathan Woolfe at Keys Park.
