Robbie’s career began as a trainee at Kidderminster before being released in the summer of 2010. After a brief spell at Redditch United, Midland Alliance side Stratford Town were the next stop in September of the same year. Kidderminster would open the door to a return and rewarded him with a one year contract after involvement at the end of the 2010-11 campaign.

He was allowed to join Blue Square Bet North side Solihill Moors for a month, but was recalled after an injury crisis blighted the Harriers. Ultimately he returned to Solihull later in the campaign, spending another loan period at the club towards the end of the season which saw Moors escape relegation.

Nuneaton Town was the next stop after leaving the Harriers in the summer of 2012, but again first team opportunities were scarce. The 2012-13 season comprised of loans at Daventry, Leamington and Redditch United before being released at the end of the campaign.

As pre-season began, Robbie linked up with the Pitmen and impressed with his desire, work-rate and pace – earning involvement in most of the club’s pre-season campaign before being secured on a deal for the 2013-14 season at Keys Park.
