Young wide midfielder who re-joined Hednesford in the summer of 2015 after being released by Barclays Premier League club Stoke City

LIverpool-born Thomas was originally a junior at Everton, joining fellow Premier League side Stoke City in the summer of 2010 to continue his development. After working his way through the ranks, Thomas agreed a new deal with the Potters in the summer of 2014 after playing for the U21 side during the 2013-2014 campaign

In order to gain valuable first team experience, Thomas was loaned to Vanarama Conference side Macclesfield Town – initially for a month – at the start of the 2014-2015 campaign. His loan was extended later on in the period, with the player staying at Moss Rose until the end of 2014. In all, he made two starts and appeared seven times on the bench for the Silkmen

After returning to Stoke, Thomas was loaned to the Pitmen for a month to continue his development, making an impressive scoring debut against Guiseley a week after joining the club. He went on to make ten appearances for the Pitmen, making a major impact with his wing play and ability to drift past players

After returning to Stoke in May 2015, Thomas was one of a number of contracted players to be released by the club at the end of the month. He spent the 2015-2016 pre-season on trial at Macclesfield and Chester, before making the return to Hednesford in August. He hit the ground immediately after returning to Keys Park, scoring four goals in three pre-season games before the start of the new Vanarama National League North season
