Energetic, creative midfielder with considerable experience at Conference National level who joined the Pitmen following a successful trial in August 2015

Liverpool-born Williams started out as a junior at Stockport County, coming through the same youth system as future Hednesford players John Disney and Sam Barnes. He joined Blue Square North side Hyde on loan during the 2011-2012 season for a month, before spending a similar amount of time at Skelmersdale United later on in the season

After his release by Stockport, Williams had a spell at Blue Square North side Vauxhall Motors before joining league rivals Colwyn Bay on contract terms in the summer of 2012. He impressed at the start of the campaign for Bay, which saw him being linked with sides higher up in the pyramid. FC Halifax Town eventually won the race to secure the midfielder’s signature in January 2013 on a deal until the end of the season

His stay at the Shay was cut short in October 2013, as he agreed a return to Colwyn Bay. His form after returning to the club saw them once again avoid relegation to step three. His midfield ability had once again come under the microscope of step one teams, with newly-promoted Altrincham snapping Williams up on a one year deal in July 2014

Williams enjoyed long spells in the Alty side over their consolidation season in the Vanarama Conference. He made twenty five starts and twelve substitute appearances, before being one of six players who were released in May 2015 – alongside future Hednesford signings Kyle Perry and Dave Parton

After arriving at Keys Park just after the start of pre-season, Williams put in a number of consistent performances to earn a deal with the club in August 2015

Williams is, despite his tender years, a UEFA ‘B’ Licence holder already and works for Jamie Carragher’s Soccer Schools in the North West as a Premier League Academy coach
