Young forward who joined the Pitmen from Midland Football League side Coleshill Town in October 2015
A pacy player who was formerly with Evo-Stik Division One South side Romulus, whom he joined in 2013 after playing for Birmingham Metropolitan College. Whilst at the College, he received coaching from Bernard McNally, who was to be the man to bring him to Keys Park
After leaving Romulus in the summer of 2015, he linked up with ambitious Coleshill, who had finished the previous season at the highest point in the club’s 130 year history and started the new campaign aiming for promotion to the Evo-Stik League. He came to McNally – and Hednesford’s – attention in October 2015, as he fired home four of Coleshill’s five goals in a 5-2 demolition of a poor Pitmen side in the Birmingham Senior Cup
McNally was suitably impressed with his former trainee to lodge a seven day approach for him, with Johnson agreeing to a significant step up the leagues later in the month to link up with the Pitmen
